Workshops:Basic Digital Photography Winter 20121/16, 1/30, 2/6, 2/20 (6-8 pm) Designed for beginners and those new to the digital world of image making. All camera types accepted. Course description: This hands on class will explain everything you need to know about the various settings on your digital cameras, and how to use them. Through weekly assignments, in class review, in the field shooting, critique and discussion, students will learn technical and creative ways of seeing. Instructors: Eileen McCarney Muldoon and Cindy Horovitz Wilson have both been professional photographers for over 20 years. They belong to the Portsmouth Arts Guild, Newport Photo Guild, Wickford Art Association, and Mystic Art Association. Together they formed Profundo Journeys Photo Workshop, traveling internationally for thepurposes of photo and artistic development. In 2012, their travels will explore Hungary and Ireland. Enjoy the buildings and grounds of the Gilbert Stuart Museum in spring, and explore many different kinds of image making.
