"Most of my landscapes are near the water; I have merely pointed my camera in a different direction. The subjects I look for have stories; I make these internal connections visual with the camera. Examples of this are old mills, vernacular architecture, stonewalls and fences. I compose my subjects in the landscape at times of the day where light creates shadow and form. Often, I wait for magic light, before sunset to bathe the landscape in the glow of the setting sun."
