Now in it's third season, the Block Island in Black and White Photography Workshop reconvenes in October, when the ocean light bathes the landscape in texture, detail and shadow.
Join me, Cindy Wilson, for three days of instruction, field trips, discussion and exploration of the island. Fall in love with stone walls, ancient trees, isolated cottages and rolling hills in a leisurely manner, experiencing the true beauty of the island.

In this workshop you will learn black and white settings on your camera, seeing light, shadow and tones in black and white, the use of black and white as metaphor and the post processing steps necessary to process a well crafted black and white image.

I have secured rooms at a local inn that can accommodate six off-island students. Rooms are based on single occupancy with private bath. Breakfast, dinner and on-island transportation will be included. Island folks are welcome to stay in their own homes and join the workshop for all of the educational activities with the option for dinner.
