Imagine walking in a medieval city of narrow, winding, cobblestone lanes; looking up, spires of cathedrals and towers reach into the sky...the smells of bakeries, strands of music waft into the street...you are in magical Prague!
Travel with Eileen & Cindy of Profundo Journeys to this city steeped in history, romance and tragedy. You will be guided through daily walking tours to the palace grounds, ornate Baroque churches and cathedrals, charming neighborhoods and vibrant streets, experiencing Czech food, music and local beer. You will have ample time to wander on your own, photographing the architecture and daily life of the Czech people.
From Prague, you travel into the countryside, in our private coach, first to Marienbad, a delightfully ornate spa town, where the strolling is not limited to the streets; there are parks and forests and places to take the water of the hot springs. Return to the Renaissance era in the unique 13th century town of Cesky Krumlov, a UNESCO protectorate. Leaving the province of Bohemia, travel next through the bucolic Moravia, and the medieval town of Mikulov, located among white cliffs and vineyards. You return to Prague and take day trips to Kutna Hora and Terrazin.
Along the way you will have countless opportunities for photography and immersion in the local culture. There will be evenings of slide presentation and conversations about art and our experiences.
Tuition: double occupancy $4400 per person. A deposit of $1000 secures your seat on this trip of a lifetime
