Craftsman restoring the theatre, Gibara
Profundo Journeys Cuba
An Immersive Photography Experience in the East
January 11-20, 2019
Many trips to Cuba are have varied destinations that make it difficult to relax and respond to
the local culture and interpretive photography. This workshop is designed for photographers
looking to become familiar with only two destinations; Gibara, a small fishing village in the
northeast of the island, and Santiago de Cuba, birthplace of music and revolution. Join Cindy
Wilson for the opportunity to experience the rich experiences Cuba has to offer; wake up with
the sunrise and watch the towns come to life, walk with local photographers and see the
culture through their eyes and spend time with local Cubans on a true people to people
level. You will have ample time to observe the daily lives and cultural heritage of these two
very unique locations.
Dates: January 11-20, 2019
Tuition: $4495 includes all lodging in Cuba, transportation, many meals, full time local Cuban
