Profundo Journeys

Vietnam and Cambodia

15 days in Vietnam plus an optional 3-day extension in Cambodia

Join us on an intoxicating adventure!

We fly first into Hanoi, a blend of medieval and modern Asia where we'll see Tai Chi practiced on the shores of Hoan Kiem lake and take a rickshaw ride into the Old Quarter.

From here it is an exciting series of travel photography experiences. Circle the famous perfumed pagoda in Tay Pauhong. Lunch at a house on stilts. Visit the 400 years old houses at Duong Lam and the 70 temple towers of the My Son UNESCO World Heritage sites.

A highlight will be an overnight stay on the Dragon Pearl junk as it cruises along the limestone cliffs of the Red River Delta and anchors by fishing villages at sunset.

From Saigon we fly to the Kingdon of Cambodia. Once known as the Khmer Empire, it flourished for 600 years and ruled much of what is now Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. Siem Reap will be our base camp for exploring Angkor Wat, one of the most impressive temple complexes in the world.

Our experiences will include every kind of travel photography opportunity, from local people to temples, landscapes, cities and villages with their thriving markets.

The trip will be led by Eileen and Cindy, two professional travel photographers who have taken groups across the world from Ireland, to Cuba, to Greece and many other locations. Throughout we will stay at 4 star accommodations, use expert local guides and have the services of private guides with air conditioned vehicles.
